A quiet period

For those of you who have been paying attention (Hi Mom!) you may have noticed that it has been a while since much of anything has been posted here. After the first weekly webcast I think a few realities came to light about TriVision Studios and their willingness to be "helpful" to little ol' Zularian Pictures. Which is not to say that they haven't given us plenty of verbal support.

Sadly their interest in film and video is non-existent. I was, in every way, mislead into thinking this company was interested in making short films, feature films and music videos. Primarily what they do is create logos and designs for business cards as well as editing wedding videos (primarily Afghan weddings).

It has been very educational and I can't say without some benefit to my own interests. I have become quite familiar with Final Cut, logging in over 500 hours of editing time which I am sure will be of some use in the future. I also have gotten another taste of the "real world" in terms of hopes and expectations regarding this career path. It would appear that a good many people will tell you exactly what you want to hear, even if it is a bald-faced lie, in order to get what they want. I can't say I like it but I think it is important to be on guard for it.

More to come I am sure.
